Caring for your Nefertiti’s Garden Collection.

There are two hallmarks of a Nefertiti’s Garden Collection: high-quality and low-maintenance. Each item is carefully and thoughtfully arranged to maximize beauty and vitality while minimizing the need for constant attention. Keep our recommendations below in mind as you continue to nurture your NG Collection to keep it as vibrant as the day it arrived at your doorsteps!

Terrarium Care Guide

Watering.

Your NG Collection will love a drink of water from time to time. Generally, you will not need to water it more than once every couple weeks or so. If unsure whether it is time to water, check the soil to see if it is completely dry. If needed, fill the water dropper and water your plants near their stems with a few full droppers. Monitor your plants carefully to get a feel for whether they require a small drink of water or not. The succulents in your “Eden” and “Oasis” collections will generally require water more often than the cacti and succulents in your “Ember & Ash” and “Seaside Garden” collections (these can be watered every couple months).

Sunlight.

Photosynthesis. This is how the succulents and cacti in your NG Collections will synthesize foods from carbon dioxide and water to stay healthy and charming. Like all plants, they will need sunlight - and they love it! Your plants’ growth and health may be stunted if they do not receive adequate (but not excessive) lighting. Be sure to place your Nefertiti’s Garden in a well-lit environment with adequate sunlight.

Seasonal Considerations.

Spring/Summer.

During these months, your succulents are more likely to grow and will require a bit more care than during Fall/Winter. Consider whether you will be away from your Nefertiti’s Garden for long periods of time. If so, be sure to water appropriately and keep away from direct sunlight to avoid sunburn.

Fall/Winter.

During the Fall/Winter months, your succulents are more vulnerable to cold weather and may freeze if not kept in a suitably warm environment. Also, they will generally need less watering during this time.
